Individuals who have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case should be tested regardless of the presence of symptoms. Close contacts are people who have been within 6 feet of a person with a confirmed COVID-19 infection for at least 15 minutes. You will need to quarantine for 10 days after your last exposure to an infected person or a 7 day quarantine with a negative test on or after day 5 of quarantine.

Attention Patients!

The CDC currently recommends a quarantine period of 14 days. However, based on local circumstances and resources, the following options to shorten quarantine are acceptable alternatives.

Quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing and if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring.

Quarantine can end after Day 7 if a diagnostic specimen tests negative and if no symptoms were reported during daily monitoring. The specimen may be collected and tested within 48 hours before the time of planned quarantine discontinuation (test must occur on day 5 or later), but quarantine cannot be discontinued earlier than after Day 7.

As of March 1, 2021 the Order of the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health for Mitigation Relating To Travel is no longer in effect. Travelers should still practice appropriate public health measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 such as masking, physical distancing, and hand hygiene.

If you are required to quarantine, please ask your therapist regarding the options we have to continue your therapy. Thank you!

Due to the rules put in place per Governor Wolf, The Secretary of Health issued an order requiring anyone who visits from another state to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to entering the commonwealth. This does NOT apply to people who commute to and from another state for work or medical treatment.

If you have traveled and are required to quarantine, please ask your therapist regarding the options we have to continue your therapy. Thank you!

UPDATE 11/25/20:

Traveling to any state will require proof of a negative test to return to any of our clinics. PA Department of Health requests that be completed within 72 hours prior to return. The alternative to a negative test is a 14 day quarantine. Robbins Rehab West will accept proof of a negative test any time between return to the state and the 14 days. For example, if you return from out of state on Monday, have a test performed on Tuesday and receive a negative result on Wednesday, you may return to our clinics on Thursday. If you are hosting out of state guests, per guidelines you should either test or quarantine.

Additionally, we’d like to offer some clarification for “exposure” and protocols following exposure outside of the clinics and for patients. Exposure is considered to be close contact (within 6 feet) of a person within 48 hours prior to onset of symptoms, or a positive test. If you are exposed, we are requiring a 14 day quarantine, or a negative test performed 5 days or longer after exposure to return to any clinic. For example, if you came in contact with someone on Tuesday and they developed symptoms on Thursday, we ask that you stay out of the clinics until you can test on Sunday and then receive results. For any exposure within the clinic, we will continue to follow the guidelines from the department of health, as we are required to contact them following exposure cases.

UPDATE 8/14/2020:

New Temperature Protocol: If you come into our facility and register a temperature of a 100 or above, you will be asked take a seat for two minutes and then we will take your temperature again. If you register a temperature of 100 or above for the second time then you will be asked to leave the facility. You will be allowed back to therapy after you have been fever free for 24 hours. We are creating this protocol because many times your temperature can be fluctuated by the outside heat, especially if you’re coming inside from a car that does not have air conditioning. We do ask that if you know you are experiencing symptoms or that you have a fever PLEASE do not put us at risk and still come to your appointment. If you have any questions regarding this policy please call 610-709-6649. Thank you!

UPDATE 7/7/2020:

The following announcement has been implemented with all current and new patients, as well as current employees due to the updates by the Governor.

UPDATE 5/1/2020:

All of our clinics now have no-touch thermometers that we will be using going forward to check all patient/visitor/employee temperatures upon arrival. We still are enforcing all patients, visitors and employees to wear masks while in the clinic. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our company precautions please call us at 610-841-3555.

UPDATE 4/9/2020:

Please click on the link below to see what precautions we are doing daily to keep our employees and patients safe!

Below you will also find the three question survey we ask all visitors and current patients as well as new patients that come into our doors!

  1. Do you have a fever or respiratory symptoms such as a cough or shortness of breath?
  2. Have you traveled to one of the affected geographic locations within the last 14 days of symptom onset?
  3. Have you had close contact with someone with CV19

We thank everyone for their continued cooperation, if you have any questions regarding these updates, please contact 610-841-3555.

UPDATE 3/21/2020:

We have been deemed essential to help flatten the curve by helping keep people out of doctors offices and ERs and letting these medical teams focus on those impacted by COVID-19. See HERE for more information.

  1. If you have had or are known to have any exposure to anyone with COVID-19 or general flu like symptoms please follow the 14 day self quarantine and please keep out of the office.
  2. Do not come in if you are experiencing any of the following: Fever, unexplained fatigue, dry cough, difficulty breathing/shortness of breath

In addition to continuing our protocols that were listed in our initial update, we will be doing the following:

  • Following “social distancing” procedures by maintaining six feet between people (please work with us on this as it might change exercise flow somewhat to be able to keep spacing)
  • This does affect our ability to complete manual therapy and for those that we can instruct to perform self soft tissue and joint mobilizations we will at this time. This is to help protect each individual as well as help minimize our use of gloves and masks as these are in short supply. We are doing our best to keep the gloves and masks for those most impacted by COVID-19. During your manual therapy, both the patient and therapist will be wearing a mask and the therapist will use gloves for the treatment along with other standard hygiene protocols.
  • There will be no more than 10 people in the clinic at a time. This includes all of our treatment team so we ask that you try to be flexible with scheduling to help ensure the safety of everyone.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and if you have any additional questions please contact us at 610-841-3555!

UPDATE: 3/16/2020:

We are committed to doing everything we can to make Robbins Rehabilitation West is a safe environment when you visit for one of your treatments. Therefore, we’ve decided to raise our usual standards of cleanliness and health safety even higher.

The first step we took was to educate our workforce using validated resources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and the US Department of Health.

The second step we took was to intensify our housekeeping & infection control procedures to assure that we have minimized contact with any thing or areas that could harbor harmful bacteria or viruses. We are following all cleaning guidelines and using products registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

In doing so we are asking all individuals who enter our clinic to:

  • Get temperature taken at check in. Those with a temperature of 100.0 or higher will be asked to leave. After 24 hours of no fever, you will be able to continue therapy.
  • Wash your hands before your treatment starts and/or apply hand-sanitizer when you get inside our facility.
  • Practice good hand hygiene (frequent hand-washing, at least 20 seconds) as well as good cough and Practice sneeze etiquette (cover mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing and deposit the tissue in a hands-free trash can or cover your mouth with your elbow if tissues are not immediately available).
  • Wear a mask if you are sneezing or coughing (ask the front desk for a mask)
Apply our hand-sanitizer when departing the clinic
  • We will continue to employ procedures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 according to the CDC and other credible authorities and will keep you informed of any changes in protocols.

Also our clinic as a whole will be:

  • Cleaning & Disinfecting door handles, light switches, faucets, mats, toys, etc.
  • Applying hand-sanitizer or washing hands as soon as we get to work.
  • Applying hand-sanitizer or washing hands before and after eating and before returning to our work areas.
  • Sanitizing all workstations with Clorox wipes or lysol before working.
  • Washing our hands before and after seeing patients.
  • Using gloves, if needed, while treating our patients.
  • Apply hand-sanitizer and/or wash hands when departing the clinic.

We want you to enjoy your visit with us. We assure you we will be attentive and vigilant so you can enjoy your session.
